"listed" might mean its in the registry. Checkbmwmdata.com. Every M coupe was assembled in the USA but parts were probably manufactured in Germany and shipped over for final assembly. Horse power would be the same as all the other US market M Coupes…

I noticed that there is a do it yourself for the glovebox sag on MZ3 .net. Great color you have on your car. Only 44 of the 2001's had it and 77 of the 02's. I didn't know you could special order it in 2000.
There is a heavy metal bolster in the glove box door. Remove this and then get a glove box fix kit on ebay for about 30 dollars which strenghtens the edge of the glove box.

I see that your MC was manufactured in March '02 and mine was manufactured in May '02.
Does that mean that BMW randomly assigned VIN numbers?
